Child Dedications - June 12th 2016

Children are a gift from God and dedication is an event in which parents make a commitment before the Lord to raise their child according to His Word and His ways. By dedicating a child, you are making a promise to raise them in a godly way. It's also a time for you to share with friends and family what is most important to you and to ask them for their prayers and support.

We Value Every "One"

An insight into the special needs ministry at Lifepoint God created all people in His perfect image and blessed each one of us with different gifts to make up the body of Christ, regardless of the degree of our limitations. Our special needs ministry was developed to lovingly welcome children with special needs, partnering with their parents so that everyone is able to experience the love of God in a relevant way. Statistics show that 80-90% of families with children with special needs are unable to attend church due to a lack of accommodations. By offering this vital ministry, Lifepoint is committed to making sure everyone is afforded this chance. We have a team of trained volunteers that are “buddies” for each child with a unique need. Each “buddy” joins the kids in their age-appropriate classroom so that they are able to play and learn with their peers, making adjustments for them as needed. If one-on-one learning is ideal, we have a safe and fun place for them within our secure children’s wing. The true heartbeat of this ministry is best expressed by the team’s leader Shayla: “Not only do we have the opportunity to share Jesus Christ with people with special needs, but we also get the opportunity to see people with special needs share Jesus Christ with others. It doesn’t get much better than that.” If you or someone you know would like more information on this ministry or how to get involved, contact
